  • DO NOT fill out an application until you have fully read over the companion contract. Afterwards you may complete our Puppy Application interactively above by clicking "Puppy Application" or Click here for the PDF version and return via email.(If you do not have email, no problem, give me a call and I can have you mail it in to me if that is easier. NO home will be considered for a puppy without a application on file. This is a really important step in getting to know you and your family. Please take your time when answering the questions. Please fill free to include any additional information that you would like for us to know! We truly want to build a relationship with our potential homes. We do work off of a waitlist or by first come first serve. I place puppies based off the temperaments that I have. Each breeding is different in temperament, activity level, and showmanship ability. I may not have puppies initially when you reach out, but suggest filling out the application to get on our waitlist. Our homes typically wait anywhere from 6-12 moths for the right puppy.

  • Once your application has been reviewed & accepted, we will mutually agree on a time to conduct the interview process (this is the fun part)! I would really appreciate involving all of the adults in the household during this visit. At this time I will discuss more about our breeding program, our expectations of our homes, what your expectations are of your breeder, & the upcoming litter plans. Bring on all the questions, this is a big decision and we love sharing this passion with our homes. These interviews do not happen immediately after filling out the application. We start applications about 1-2 months prior to a breeding taking place and will announce this on our website and Facebook page that interviews have opened so that we can set up a time to chat. We occasionally already have a waitlist started and litters may be full prior to being bred.

  • After we have approved for one of our puppies to join your family, your name will be placed on our waiting list for the next upcoming litter (or a future litter that we have discussed). We try to have a plan at least 6 months out, sometimes more. This does not always happen. Please be patient. I do not keep "instant" puppies ready at will. The breeding's take time, patience, & planning. I do suggest all new homes or new dog owners purchase two books to read while waiting for your new family member. Both are listed below in our "kit" both are under "Training your new puppy". This will give you a jump start on training techniques prior to the arrival of your new baby.

Aubergine Goldens take the placement of our puppies very seriously. Prospective puppy families are carefully screened to make sure that both the puppy & families are matched to the best of our ability.

I offer lifetime support as well as puppy packets with pointers & tips to make the addition of your new puppy as easy as possible. Additionally we will send home numerous online & paper resources to provide you with all the information you may need. I am always a resource, even after the puppy leaves my home.

At a minimum, all breeding stock have the 4 recommended health clearances set by the GRCA before being incorporated into our program. Hips, Elbows, Heart, and Eyes recorded on the official Orthopedic Foundation for Animals website. Our dogs are first and foremost our pets. They live in our home with us not in kennels/runs.

Additionally, our puppies are raised in our home with us & our children. They are socialized using a combination of ENS,  the Super Dog program, & Puppy Culture program.

We have carefully selected our pairings that improve the Golden Retriever breed as a whole. These breeding's are not done out of convivence but with countless hours spent on researching the best possible stud dogs for our females.

All puppies are sent home with AKC Limited Registration, Microchip, 1st set of vaccinations, Worming protocol at 2, 4, 6, & 8 weeks of age, and informational paper work to care for your new family member.
